Oxford Studies in Epistemology

Oxford Studies in Epistemology is a biennial series that gives readers a periodic look at cutting-edge work in its field. A distinguished editorial board of philosophers from North America, Europe and Australasia selects the papers, which are broadly construed to cover epistemology.

Coverage includes the traditional questions about belief, justification and knowledge, and whether scepticism is defensible, as well as the a priori. Newer currents such as naturalised, feminist, social and virtue epistemology, and contextualism, also come within its scope.

The series takes in decision theory, confirmation theory, perception, cognitive science and psychology where they bear on epistemology, and the ethics of belief and testimony. This is Volume 6.
