About this book

This miscellaneous volume is introduced by two friends of St Paulinus of Nola. Niceta, a bishop from the Balkan region, is represented by five mainly pastoral works. Sulpicius Severus, who came from southern France, provides the Life of St Martin along with related letters and dialogues.

Together the texts give the basic story of St Martin, the third bishop of Tours, whose story has long appealed to readers. The remaining works come from two contemporaries who also wrote from southern France.

The record also names Gerald G. Walsh. Published by Catholic University of America Press. ISBN-13: 9780813215532.
