Mark

From the Back Cover MARK. In this, probably the earliest of the four Gospels, Mark vigorously defends the claim that Jesus was the true Messiah and that His own people, the Jews, rejected Him because He came not as the glorious warrior-king they expected but as a suffering servant. The intensity of Mark's writing and his enthusiasm for Christ's Gospel bring us a powerful message of salvation, inspiration, and encouragement.
