About this book

This Is the Way I Brush My Teeth is a simple instruction book for children, written in rhyme so that the steps of brushing are easier to remember. The idea came from the author watching a young son struggle to learn proper brushing. The first drafts were written at that time, and the book was finished much later.

The author pulled the earlier drafts together and drew the illustrations afterwards. The boy in the story was drawn to look a little like the author's grandson, who still needs help with his technique. The book walks young readers through the tooth-brushing process in order.
