Beyond Seven Sisters

Calpurnia Cottonwood once tried to end her life after heartbreak, but her only friend would not let her die. After escaping Seven Sisters, Muncie and Calpurnia flee to Haiti in search of peace and freedom, but tragedy keeps catching up with them.

In Jamaica they meet a powerful priestess who wants to raise the dead and intends to add Calpurnia to her undead army. Muncie takes up his old identity and joins the fight for Haiti, and he tries to save his friend from Queen Pi, a voodoo queen who could bring about the end of them all.

The book blends southern gothic horror with Caribbean magic. It is the finale of the original Seven Sisters series, so readers should start with the earlier books. It suits horror readers who like supernatural stories with a strong sense of place.
