Complete Technique for Modern Guitar

Many guitarists assume that the way forward is to race through ever harder and more obscure exercises. Joseph Alexander and Tim Pettingale take a different view, and this book keeps only the drills that build core skills most efficiently.

The four pillars of the approach are the ones every player needs: how the picking hand moves, how notes are joined smoothly, keeping a steady pulse, and bringing expression into the playing. Each pillar receives the exercises the authors consider most productive, so that practice time goes into the core skills rather than into a long list of advanced patterns.

Players who want a structured, economical route to better technique will find this approach useful, whatever style of modern guitar they play.
