The Protoclassic in the Maya Lowlands

The Protoclassic has been the subject of much debate amongst Mayanists, much of it fuelled by lack of definition and understanding. This work seeks to provide such definitions and to pull together in a single volume much of the material relevant to this complex subject. A major part of the monograph consists of line illustrations and modern descriptions of the whole vessels uncovered at Holmul, Mountain Cow and Nolunul.
