About this book

This collection of stories is set in Alagaësia, the world of Eragon, and is listed as Volume 1 (Eragon) of the series. The tales come from the same setting as the Inheritance Cycle, the sequence of books that begins with Eragon.

A wanderer and a cursed child are at the heart of the stories. Spells, magic and dragons all feature, and the author returns readers to the land of Alagaësia with them. Readers who know the Inheritance Cycle will recognise the setting, while newcomers can follow the stories without any prior reading.

This edition is published by Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers under ISBN-13 9781984894861.
