This Springer volume looks at meromorphic and holomorphic maps and the question of when the functions involved depend on one another, both analytically and algebraically. The chapters move from the rank of a holomorphic map and product representations to proper, light and semi-proper maps, and then to quasi-proper and full holomorphic maps.
Later chapters address preparations, pseudoconcave maps, globalization, the Schwarz lemma and sections of meromorphic line bundles. The contents also include a counterexample attributed to Kas, showing that some of the general results cannot be extended without care.
